Welcome To Archie’s Creek Hall
Archie’s Creek Hall, located in southern Victoria’s beautiful Bass Coast, is a rare place that sits proudly in a little hamlet with 16 houses, a tennis court, a pub, an evangelical chapel, a junkyard and a phone box.
History
The Archie’s Creek Community Hall has a vibrantly rich history … Originally built in 1904, the land was donated to the community by a local farmer who wanted a hall built and the community has owned and operated it ever since. It’s a very unusual set up and is a community asset that needs to be treasured.
The hall was used to host full moon dances so the local farmers could get home safely by the light of the moon … How times have changed!
Bass Coast Community Events & Venue Hire
The Archie’s Creek Hall is above all a community space and venue that can be hired by anyone to be used for anything within reason. It’s a great place for bands to play, for a wedding, a wake, a work party, social gatherings or whatever else you might want to use an iconic hall for.
This iconic building sits on a half-acre block with a tennis court and grounds for outdoor entertainment. Great views of farmland, rolling hills and the snaking tree lined creek out the back.
World Class Sound System
The Caravan Music Club ran the Archie’s Creek Hotel for four years and occasionally hired the hall to put on gigs. They finished operating mid 2024 and left behind the legacy of a world class sound system in the hall.
A sound system that can only be operated by qualified professionals. We can put you in touch with such people should you wish to put on your own gig. There’s also a basic sound system in the venue for anyone to use.
